Camps are divided into two sections: Mini Masters (ages 6-9) and Junior Artists (ages 10-13).


SCHEDULE:
Morning Session: Mini Masters (Ages 6-9)
9am: Drop Off
9 -10:30am: Class 1
10:30am - 12pm: Class 2
12pm: Pick Up

Afternoon Session: Junior Artists (Ages 10-13)
1pm: Drop Off
1 – 2:30pm: Class 1
2:30 – 4pm: Class 2
4pm: Pick Up


DESCRIPTIONS: *Each week includes a special Lego project in celebration of the Art of the Brick exhibition. *Excluding week 10

“Art through the Ages”: 40,000 years in one week.  Join us as we explore and learn a selection of artists and their works from prehistoric art to contemporary art.  Students will be introduced to art movements and create art projects specifically designed to energize class discussion.

“Animal Adaptations”: A study of all things fauna.  Join us for a weeklong study and interpretation of the animal form.  From realism to abstraction, we will delve into a diverse array of media including printmaking, watercolors, and photography.

“Art around the World”: Students will explore countries and cultures through a variety of media including sculpture, painting, drawing, and collage.  Every class is reinforced with an emphasis on art fundamentals, technique, and principles of design.

“People and Portraits”: For this week, students will focus their creative energies on the expansive world of portraiture.  With a look at artists such as Arcimboldo, Kahlo, and Van Gogh, students will create their own masterpieces with attention to line, color, and form
 
 “Land/City/Sea”: A week devoted to the natural world.  Students will explore the art of the landscape through interactive gallery tours, a study of the Museum’s permanent collection, and a variety of mediums.

Week: $125/members and $150/non-members
Daily: $40/members and $45/non-members

REFUND POLICY
For cancellations up to two weeks prior to camp start date you will be refunded, however, the Museum will reserve a $20 cancellation fee from the full refunded amount.  No refunds will be available within the two weeks prior to camp start date.
