TRISHA YEARWOOD ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM

NASHVILLE (AP) -- Trisha Yearwood says she used to look at her career like a baseball player, thinking she only had a few good years. She says after 23 years, she's not done swinging the bat. Yearwood will release "PrizeFighter," her first album in seven years. A release date was not given. She will tour with her husband, Garth Brooks, beginning September 4 in Chicago. Yearwood will also release a new cookbook, "Trisha's Table," in April. Her cooking show, "Trisha's Southern Kitchen," premieres its fifth season on the Food Network on Saturday. Yearwood says she never intended for her hosting gig to take over her music, but it's difficult to do both. She says her two careers are "co-existing."

GUCCI MANE ORDERED TO PRISON

ATLANTA (AP) -- Gucci Mane has been sentenced to three years and three months in prison as well as a $5,000 fine. Mane pleaded guilty in May to a federal firearms charge. He was arrested last September when a friend called police to say Mane was walking down an Atlanta street behaving violently. Police say Mane smelled of marijuana, cursed at them and threatened to shoot them. Police say they found a loaded handgun and a bag of marijuana on him.

RAY J HAS COURT HEARING NEXT WEEK

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- Ray J is due back in court next week after he was accused of groping a woman at a bar in Beverly Hills, California. Ray J has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of sexual battery, vandalism, battery on a police officer and resisting a police officer. He was arrested May 30 after a woman told police Ray J groped her at the bar of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Police say he refused to leave and shattered a patrol car window by kicking it while in custody.

"MOTOWN 25" SPECIAL WILL BE RELEASED ON HOME VIDEO

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -- The concert special on which Michael Jackson first did the moonwalk is finally coming to home video. "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever" first aired on NBC in May 1983. It featured not only Jackson, but Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, The Temptations and The Four Tops. It also included non-Motown acts like Linda Ronstadt, Jose Feliciano and Adam Ant. The special will be released as a single DVD, a three-DVD set and a deluxe 6-DVD set on September 30.

ELIZABETH ARDEN BLAMES STOCK DROP ON CELEBRITY PERFUMES

NEW YORK (AP) -- People apparently don't want to smell like Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift anymore. Stock for the cosmetics company Elizabeth Arden has hit a four-year low. The company says part of the reason is because of declining consumer demand for its celebrity fragrances, particularly the Swift and Bieber brands. Elizabeth Arden also markets perfumes by Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

INTERPOL WILL PLAY AT ANCIENT TEMPLE INSIDE MUSEUM

NEW YORK (AP) -- Interpol say they're looking forward to playing one of the most beautiful spaces in all of New York. It's also one of the oldest. Interpol will play at the Temple of Dendur inside The Metropolitan Museum of Art on September 2. It's a temple built by the Romans in Egypt around 15 B.C. The concert is a publicity event aimed at marking the launch of the museum's new app. Interpol's new album, "El Pintor," is out September 9.

PJ HARVEY TO RECIEVE HONORARY DEGREE

LONDON (AP) -- PJ Harvey will get an honorary degree from Goldsmiths University in London. She will be honored for her achievements in the arts during graduation ceremonies at Goldsmiths next month.

MTV ANNOUNCES OPENING ACT FOR VMAS

NEW YORK (AP) -- Ariana Grande (GRAHN'-day), Nicki Minaj and Jessie J will open the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. They will perform "Bang Bang." Grande and Minaj will also perform separately. Other performers include Usher, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea and Beyonce'.
