“The Nutcracker” Returns to the Pensacola Saenger Theatre
Ballet Pensacola invites you to experience the magic of “The Nutcracker” at the historic Saenger Theatre Dec. 15 and 16 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 17 at 1:30 p.m.
The classical ballet, based on a story by E.T.A. Hoffmann, will enthrall audiences as the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky accompanies the story of Clara and her dream of the Nutcracker Prince. The captivating scenes of a battle between toy soldiers and mice, a pas de deux of the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Cavalier, and a serene snow scene have made “The Nutcracker” an annual favorite.
Featuring a cast of more than 125, the production is choreographed by Artistic Director Richard Steinert.
“The Nutcracker is a great way to get into the holiday spirit,” said Steinert. “Returning patrons can be certain that this year’s production will offer a few surprises as Clara begins her journey though the magical Land of the Sweets.”
Tickets are available for purchase for $25 - $37 through Ticketmaster, 800.745.3000 or ticketmaster.com, or in person at the Saenger Theatre Box Office.
This performance is generously sponsored by Andrews Institute ASC, Emerald Coast Smiles by Design, Metalcraft Pensacola and idgroup.
