WEAR and Hill-Kelly "Pay it Forward" to the ultimate good neighbor

Bill Schwab and his wife have been plagued with health problems for years, Schwab said, "I've got diabetes, I'm on dialysis 3 days a week. I can't walk anymore. I had a stroke, heart attack, my health has gone out the window."

They can't drive, so going to doctors appointments has been difficult. That was until they moved next door to Jim Newcome. They moved to Wilkes street in Pace in April and the three immediately became friends. Jim had to retire due to disability, so he now spends his days taking them to the grocrey store, to doctors appointments, and is always available to help out around the house. Newcome said, "We plan our day and all go to together, just what neighbors do for each other."

Bill knows that money is tight for Jim so he thought his neighbor could use $500 and nominated him to be WEAR's Pay It Forward recipient.

Schwab said, "He's been the best neighbor a person could have around here."

Hill-Kelly Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram agreed. General Manager, Miles Bentley told Jim, "We are thankful people like you care about people enough that you do this. We wish we had more people like you."

Jim says the money is much needed to pay bills, but will be paid forward to continue helping his neighbors.

He said, "I'm overwhelmed.... this helps in so many ways. I don't feel like I deserve this, I don't know what to say."
