HEALTH NEWS:  Mammogram controversy continues story image
A new study is raising questions about the value of mammograms
The Canadian study finds that the screening x-rays *do not actually lower the risk of dying from breast cancer.
   
Researchers followed nearly 90,000 women for more than two decades.
Half of the women had mammograms, while the others were given basic breast exams.
   
The death rates from breast cancer were the same for both groups.
