There is a dental epidemic among kids, from toddlers to teens.
It's called the "Power of Sour".

Bonnin says the sour candy craze is the biggest sweet trend in decades, it's almost the most damaging.

He says many parents say they bought their kids sour candy thinking it was healthier because the sugar content was lower than your regular treats.

Bonnin says some patients have had so much erosion, they've had to get expensive veneers plus, it's painful.

"On permanent teeth it can cause very sensitive teeth and it weakens that tooth for the lifetime of that child."
