79-year-old arrested in Fort Walton Beach narcotics investigation
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (WEAR) —
Two people were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a narcotics investigation in Fort Walton Beach. It happened Friday, December 8th at a home in the 100 block of Carson Drive, a place that Fort Walton Beach Police say "has been a public nuisance and is well known for harboring criminal activity."
After executing a search warrant, detectives recovered a stolen handgun and illicit narcotics (marijuana, ecstasy and prescription drugs not prescribed to the residents), according to the police report.
Detectives also report finding large quantities of drug paraphernalia, including digital scales, marijuana grinders, glass smoking pipes and narcotics packaging materials.
Both the homeowner, 79-year-old Lessie Mae Musgrove, and 25-year-old Charlotte Guerre were arrested. Musgrove was additionally charged with maintaining a drug nuisance residence.
Seven other people were located in the residence, at which time they were identified and released. The investigation is ongoing and criminal charges are pending for some of the individuals who were present.
