Base Operating Support services awarded $22.7 million to Pensacola Bay Support Services
Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast awarded a more than $22.7 million contract to Pensacola Bay Support Services, LLC of Canaveral, Florida, for Base Operating Support (BOS) services at NAS Pensacola on January 31.
The award included a base period and seven option years that could bring the value of the contract in excess of $182 million.
"Pensacola Bay Support Services, LLC was chosen using the Best Value Source Selection procurement method," said NAVFAC Southeast Contracting Officer Nicole Wilhelm. "The objective was selection of a contractor whose overall proposal demonstrated the best value to the Government based on the stated criteria, not necessarily the lowest price."
The work to be performed under the contract includes port operations, facility management, facility investment, pavement clearance, utilities management, electrical, gas, wastewater, steam, water, chiller plant, base support vehicles and equipment, environmental and all labor, supervision, management, materials, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation, and incidental engineering necessary to perform those services.
Work is expected to be completed by March 2019.
