Deadly hit-and-run suspect fails to appear in court on separate charges
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — The man wanted in a deadly hit-and-run crash was supposed to be in court on Wednesday on previous charges.
Markquise DeShawn Wallace will now face a new charge - failure to appear.
Wallace was charged with beating his ex-girlfriend, stealing from her and hitting her on January 29.
It's this case that had Wallace on a GPS monitor, which he cut off June 13, the Pensacola Police Department (PPD) said.
That's when Pensacola police found the white Dodge Challenger involved in the hit-and-run.
According to the PPD, Wallace is accused of hitting two women and an infant on Cervantes Street with the car. Eight-month-old Neariaah Williams and 28-year-old Nephateria Williams were killed. The baby’s mother, Quineka Baldwin, was injured.
If you have information on his whereabouts call police or Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
