Deputies monitoring possible threat targeting Escambia High School

WEAR has received several calls from parents of Escambia High School students about a possible threat to be carried out on Wednesday.

Major Hobbs from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office said deputies are in contact with the student who allegedly made the threats.

Deputies will be at Escambia High School Wednesday.

According to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, they are aware of the threats and are monitoring the situation.

School officials said classes will resume as normal on Wednesday.
