Driver cited for hitting school bus with children on board
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
A driver has been cited for failure to maintain a lane after striking a school bus that had seven young passengers. The incident happened around 10:23 Thursday morning in Escambia County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), 47-year-old Paul Ryals of McDavid and 57-year-old Barbara Hollingsworth of Walnut Hill were both rounding a curve on South Pineville Road at the time of the crash.
The FHP's report states Ryals' Toyota Tacoma struck the front of the school bus. None of the children or the two drivers were injured in the crash.
