ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
Escambia County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) says deputies are searching for a man considered armed and dangerous in connection with a homicide in Myrtle Grove.
ECSO Public Information Officer Amber Southard said 22-year-old Lyntonio De'Shawn Quinn is wanted in connection with the deadly shooting.
Deputies are tracking him in the area of Myrtle Grove.
Southard said deputies responded to a call of a shooting victim around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday on 48th Avenue near Elsa Avenue.
When deputies arrived they found 27-year-old David Washington dead on the side of the road. Washington and three other people are believed to have committed what appeared to be a drug-related home invasion, deputies said.
During the home invasion, the sheriff's office said Washington was shot and killed.
Three other people have been detained for questioning. No arrests have been made yet.
The sheriff's office confirmed this is the first homicide of the year in Escambia County.
