Escambia fire crews fighting early-morning mobile home fire

A structure fire on the 6200 block of Trent Street represents the sixth red bulb on the “Keep the Wreath Green” fire safety wreath.

Escambia County Emergency Communications received a call reporting the mobile home fire at 5:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15th. Crews arrived on scene to find the mobile home on fire and 50 percent involved.

Escambia County Fire Rescue called the fire under control at 5:52 a.m.

The fire destroyed 50 percent of the home, and it was declared a total loss.

Three occupants were at the residence at the time of the fire, but all were able to get out with no injuries reported.

The Florida State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

There were no smoke detectors present in the residence.
