Escambia Sheriff's deputy found guilty on all counts in 'swinger' case

Former Escambia County Sheriff's deputy Walter Michael Thomas verdict has been released.

The jury has found him guilty on all three counts.

The victims was in the courtroom and cried when the first verdict of guilty was read out loud.

Thomas was the first to be tried in this case.

Thomas is scheduled to be sentenced September 6 and will remain in custody of Escambia County Jail for now.

Co-defendants Doug and Leah Manning are scheduled to be back in court on September 14th. Senior Deputy Mark Smith is scheduled for September 21st.

Channel 3 News has confirmed through the Escambia County Sheriff's Office that the termination process has already begun and Thomas is no longer with the department.
