An Escambia County woman in jail on murder charges is now accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a local bar.

Ashley McArthur has now been charged with felony grand theft and fraud.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) says that over a two-year period McArthur stole more than $13,000 in profits from a jukebox and games at the Azalea Lounge in Pensacola.

Azalea Lounge customers pay to play games or to use the jukebox with cash, credit card, or a mobile app.

According to ECSO, the payments were supposed to be split 50-50 between McArthur and the owner of the lounge, but McArthur kept all of the proceeds from the credit card and app payments for herself instead.

McArthur is currently in the Escambia County Jail facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of Taylor Wright- a Pensacola private investigator and former police officer who went missing in September 2017 and whose body was found on property owned by McArthur's family in Cantonment.
