As a safety precaution, due to a winter storm advisory, Florida A&M University’s (FAMU) main campus in Tallahassee and satellite locations in Jacksonville and Crestview will be closed on Wednesday, January 3rd.

There is a strong probability of ice and snow forming on roads and bridges in the Big Bend area.

Essential personnel should check with their supervisors for their schedules.

Everyone else is encouraged to stay off the roads.

FAMU’s main residence dining hall will be open during regular service hours for students who are already on campus.

If you have questions, call the FAMU Department of Public Safety at 850-599-3256.

University officials will monitor conditions and release additional information tomorrow afternoon via, FAMU Info, and Blackboard.
