Friday Night Freeze

Coastal Freeze Warning in effect Friday night into Saturday morning.

Friday will be chilly with highs only reaching about 50 degrees. A normal high today would be around 64, so the Gulf Coast will definitely be feeling the chill. Temps really drop Friday night when the coldest air of the season arrives. Low temperatures along or north of Interstate 10 will fall into the middle to upper 20s with coastal temps around freezing. Because this is the first freeze of the season for the coastal areas, a Freeze Warning is in effect.

Saturday afternoon, like Friday, will be chilly. Highs are expected to reach the middle 50s. By Sunday, as the winds shift to the southeast and warmer air comes in off of the Gulf, we'll have morning temps in the 40s and afternoon highs closer to the seasonable 65. Expect cloudy skies Sunday afternoon but rain is unlikely.
