Georgia woman dies in I-65 crash
BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WEAR) —
Alabama State troopers are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Georgia woman on Tuesday.
According to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Sven Michael Olsen, 58, of Marietta, Georgia, was driving north on I-65 near Perdido when his 2004 Toyota Tundra left the roadway and hit a guardrail.
ALEA reported that a single passenger, 26- year-old Maire Caitlin Olsen, 26, also of Marietta, Georgia, was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to ALEA.
ALEA also reported that no charges have been filed in connection with the crash.
An ongoing crash investigation is being conducted by Alabama State Troopers.
