Last-minute touch-ups on school during final day of summer
Some classrooms got last-minute touch-ups on Wednesday.
Workers at Booker T. Washington High School spent the day finishing repairs, painting, and landscaping.
The goals are to make sure the campus is safe and inviting for students as they make their return to class.
"We've just done everything you can imagine, from cutting the lawn to trimming the hedges, painting, repairing anything that was broken, making sure AC is working," said Interim Assistant Director of Maintenance Chuck Peterson. "We want to make sure the campus is safe and comfortable when the kids come back tomorrow."
Peterson said the work is done and ready for classes to start Thursday morning.
