Man pleads not guilty to charges stemming from Perdido Key Drive crash
PERDIDO KEY DRIVE, Fla. (WEAR) —
The man charged with crashing his car into a group of pedestrians on Perdido Key Drive avoided his court appearance this morning.
Eric Watt is charged with a DUI involving serious injury.
He didn't appear in court, but did pre-file a plea of not guilty.
The car crash on April 29 sent eight sailors from NAS Pensacola to the hospital.
The victims were identified as Jordan Lo, Kevin Park, Steven Parson, Christian Martinez, Jerome Wallar, Brandon Nunez, Christopher Martinez and Travis Hehman.
Lo, 24, remains in critical condition.
Watt is currently out of Escambia County Jail on bond.
