Man arrested for allegedly beating child's face and neck with belt
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
Escambia County Sheriff's (ECSO) deputies arrested a man for allegedly striking an underage victim with a belt after the minor rented movies without permission.
At 4:21 p.m. on Nov. 28th, an ECSO deputy responded to dispatch call in reference to a battery complaint.
A male victim told deputy that he rented movies he was not supposed to and the suspect, Jeremy Scott Young, 40, got a belt and "whipped" him.
The deputy observed multiple bruises on his right arm and on the right side of his face and neck.
The victim refused medical treatment.
Young was arrested and charged with cruelty toward a child.
An Investigator took custody of the victim.
