Man shot after opening fire at ECSO deputies serving warrant ruled justified
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
A deputy-involved shooting that ended in a Taco Bell parking lot has been ruled justified by the State Attorney's Office.
Back on November 24, 2017, Escambia County Sheriff's deputies arrived at a home on Louis Avenue in the early morning hours with an arrest warrant.
That's when the State Attorney's Office said Russell Enfinger opened fire at deputies. Enfinger wasn't the man deputies were there to arrest, and after he shot at them he took off on foot.
Enfinger headed towards nearby businesses and was found hiding in the Taco Bell parking lot.
Enfinger was shot by deputies and suffered non-life threatening injuries. No deputies were injured.
