Mobile Co. School Board member’s son victim in double homicide
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
The search is on for multiple shooters involved in a double homicide in Mobile.
It happened after midnight in the 400 block of Gulf Wood Drive.
Police haven't released the victims' names but Mobile County School Board member Dr. Reginald Crenshaw says one of the victims is his son, 31-year-old Reginald Crenshaw Jr.
Early Tuesday morning right after midnight Mobile police found two men dead inside a house. Public Safety Director James Barber says they're looking for more than one shooter.
"We do have some information that this is not a random act and also that we are looking for multiple shooters," Barber said.
Barber says it appears to be robbery-related.
"It's very unnerving I had police knocking at my door at 2:30 a.m.," Lisa Emanuelli said.
Emanuelli says she's in disbelief. "Completely shocking because it's like a really friendly street," she said.
Ashley Calhagen who lives a block away says she heard the shots rang out.
"I heard three shots," she said. "My neighbor owns a rental house over here and he heard some shots around 11. He called them in to 911."
Calhagen says she's lived in the neighborhood for almost 20 years and this situation just isn't the norm.
"It’s an awesome neighborhood, there a few rentals in here so you get a bad person in every neighborhood but something went wrong," she said.
