Showers & Storms On The Way
WEAR TV —
Showers and thunderstorms will be moving into the WEAR TV viewing area through Monday afternoon and evening. Some of the storms have a slight chance to become severe. Damaging winds and an isolated tornado risk will be the biggest factors. Click on the Interactive Radar to follow the storms.
The area of low pressure to the west will be moving north and inland through the day Monday. As it pushes across Mississippi and continues to move northeastward, showers and storms on the eastern side of the low will come in to Northwest Florida from the Gulf of Mexico.
Heavy rain will also be possible with isolated locations receiving as much as 1 to 3 inches by 4 A.M. Tuesday. A cold front will move east of the area early Tuesday and push the rain away.
Quieter weather is expected Tuesday through Friday with a chance for rain Thursday and rapidly dropping temperatures. Friday morning area temps are expected to be around freezing.
