OCSO: Fort Walton Beach drug dealer busts himself
OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
A suspected drug dealer from Fort Walton Beach was allegedly so upset that someone stole his cocaine that he allegedly took it up with law enforcement.
And now he's in jail.
A press release from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said David Blackmon, 32, identified himself as a drug dealer when explaining to them about a baggie of cocaine and cash he claimed had been swiped from his car.
Deputies say Blackmon told them someone got into his car while it was parked in the 400 block of Ed Street and helped themselves to $50 and "about a quarter ounce off cocaine" from the center console.
When deputies went to investigate, they say they found coke where Blackmon described it had been stolen from -- the center console.
The OCSO also say they found a crack pipe on the floorboard by the driver's seat and a crack rock on the console, beside the other coke.
Blackmon is charged with possession of cocaine, resisting arrest without violence and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to authorities.
