Pedestrian killed in I-10 hit and run
OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on I-10 in Okaloosa County on Sunday.
This crash involved a pedestrian that was walking in an unknown direction within the westbound outside emergency lane of I-10.
According to an FHP crash report, an unidentified vehicle, described as a Volvo semi, was traveling west on I-10 when it traveled into the emergency lane at mile-marker 61 and struck David E. Ingram, 71, of Tallahassee with its front end.
The vehicle failed to stop. Ingram suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
