Pensacola Children's Chorus announces new Artistic Director
The Pensacola Children's Chorus now has a new Artistic Director!
The Children's Chorus has announced the arrival of Alex Gartner, on July 1, 2016.
Alex joins the Chorus upon the retirement of the founding directors, Susan and Allen Pote.
Alex said, "I am very excited to serve the great community of Pensacola and the many students and parents of the Pensacola Children's Chorus. The Potes have created something truly unique and inspiring in what PCC has become, and I look forward to leading the Chorus toward a bright future."
Alex Gartner is currently the Richard W. Wesp Assistant Director of the Cincinnati Children's Choir, a choir which serves nearly 1,000 children and youth each year.
He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and has a number of accomplishments under his belt.
Allen Pote, the Founding Artistic Director said, " We are thrilled to have found a very personable, talented and gifted musician who has a passion for both choral music and musical theater. We are certain, with his experience, that the Chorus will continue to thrive."
