Pensacola is in the top 50 safest cities in the state, according to SafeHome.org.
The site uses several factors to rate cities around the nation, including the types of crimes, crime trends, and the number of law enforcement officers compared to the population.
It also measures the unemployment rate and education level.
Pensacola ranked number 43 with a safety score of 62.75.
The number one safest city in Florida, according to SafeHome, was Weston with a safety score of 91.42.
