Missing boater's body found
BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WEAR) —
The body of a missing man has been recovered by search and rescue crews at Cliffs Landing in Bay Minette.
Officials say 30-year-old Brian Rook went missing just after midnight Monday, March 27 in the Tensaw River after his boat hit a wake from another boat. The force knocked him overboard.
Rook's girlfriend was on the boat with him when he went overboard, but could not find him in the dark, authorities said.
Daphne Search and Rescue, North Baldwin Rescue, ALEA, and the U.S. Coast Guard were involved in search efforts.
A land search was also organized in the event Rook was able to make it out of the water and onto the shore.
