Something Blue: Couple ties the knot on Krewe of Blues float
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) —
Tis the season to be merry - and get married! A local couple tied the knot Saturday just before the Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade.
Brenda Brown Ceccarossi and her boyfriend, Robert Stephen "Steve" Howard got hitched on the Krewe of Blues float.
Channel 3 News was there as the crowd - decked out with their cameras and wearing Carnival gear - stood as eager witnesses.
Laughter broke out after the officiant read, "If either of you knows any impediment why you may not be lawfully joined together in matrimony, you must now confess it." Steve's a jokester, and he made a face that made the crowd, and his new bride, roar with laughter. Their humor set a fun tone!
Brenda's excitement was electric and could be felt throughout the ceremony. She told Channel 3 News she is widowed and that Steve and The Krewe of Blues have helped her heal from the pain of loss.
When Steve was told he could now kiss his bride, he exclaimed, "That's what I've been waiting for!" We wish Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stephen Howard much happiness.
