State attorney: Deadly Navarre stabbing deemed justified
NAVARRE, Fla. (WEAR) —
The State Attorney's Office says it won't file charges in a deadly stabbing in Navarre.
In December 2016, 18-year-old Daniel Bubanas, along with numerous other teens, began to severely beat Bryce Schroeder at a party on River Birch Road.
Schroeder eventually pulled out his pocket knife and starting swinging it, cutting Bubanas and three other teens. Bubanas later died from his injuries.
The State Attorney's Office says Schroeder's use of deadly force was justified because he reasonably believed he was in danger of death or great bodily harm.
