The Pensacola Police Department has confirmed that the SunTrust Bank in the 6700 block of North Davis Highway was robbed on Thursday.

Police say the incident happened around 12:40 p.m. when a man handed a teller a note demanding cash.

Detective Ozzy Teeters said the suspect did not show that he had a weapon, but did indicate he had one.

A release from the police department describes the man as a thin white man about 5'4" to 5'5". He was wearing a tan long-sleeved shirt, baggy blue sweat pants and possibly red socks. Police added he was balding and has a scar or injury on the right side of his head.

The man is believed by law enforcement to have left in the passenger side of a light blue SUV.

Anyone with information on the incident can contact Detective Teeters at 435-1976 or the police department at 435-1900.
