Teen admits to posting handgun in Snapchat threat
NICEVILLE, Fla. (WEAR) —
A 15-year-old student was arrested for sending a threatening message on social media. He told authorities he did it because a student made him mad at school.
Friday, the Ruckel Middle School resource officer learned Cameron Blalock used Snapchat to post the threatening photo of a handgun. The message read, "Cameron is about to go on a rampage".
According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office (OCSO), the teen admitted to having a loaded revolver in his dresser and a loaded rifle in his closet. Authorities report he admitted to posting the message because he hoped a specific student would see it and be afraid.
The teen was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor and sending a threat. His mother said she didn't know her son had the gun in his possession.
