Milton Police nabbed a 16-year-old and are searching for another person in connection with a vehicle burglary.

The Milton Police Department (MPD) said officers responded to Cedar Ridge subdivision to a report of a vehicle burglary in progress early Saturday morning.

The caller gave police a clothing description. When officers arrived they saw a teen walking away from a car that matched the caller's description. He was taken into custody.

Police found a loaded handgun, a bottle of prescription medication belonging to one of the burglary victims and a large amount of cash on the teenager.

The car the teen was walking away from was later identified as stolen, according to the police department.

During the vehicle search, officers said they found more stolen items and a handgun.

The suspect was taken into custody and charged with carrying a concealed firearm, armed burglary, vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and resisting an officer. He was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

MPD is also searching for a second suspect that was involved. Police say he's being sought for pointing a handgun at a resident who was checking his vehicle.
