| 67.44% | Yes | |
| 32.55% | No |
Comment: OH YEA I'M SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT PRESIDENT CLINTON WENT OVER THERE TO NORTH KOREA TO FREE THOSE TWO LADIES SO THEY COULD COME BACK HOME TO THERE FAMILIES . YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT OBAMA WASN'T GOING TO GO OVER THERE AND FREE THEM IF IT WAS LEFT UP TO HIM HE WOULD WANT THEM TO STAY OVER THERE AND BE TOREMENTED TO DEATH . OBAMA IS A BUNCH OF CRAP. WE NEED SOMEBODY LIKE THE CLINTONS THAT CARE BOUT YOU THANK YOU !!! from GULF BREEZE, FLA by REGINA
Comment: how much did it cost the USA for him to go to north korea? how much did he promise n. korea? it wont make a bit of differece, n. korea isnt going to change. from seminole, al by bernard
Comment: Anytime you accomplish something good....and no one was hurt...what is so bad about that??? You cant solve problems without interaction and dialog. If Clinton can do it ask yourself...who would you rather it be as long as mission accomplished. from Pensacola,Florida by Flower
Comment: I don't care if they sent or allowed micky mouse to go over there and get those two beautiful american citizens out of that mess of a country, and am so proud of President Clinton to do so. Maybe we should have arranges an exchange Obama for them. from pensacola, fl by jim
Comment: I wonder why our Govt continues to try and "save Face" on issues when lives are at stake? What harm (except egos) is done to use whatever means are available to help citizens in distress? I do think those that violate laws of other countries should have to answer for that - but obvious happenings where a foreign Govt wants to get "an Apology" there is no harm and no foul to do what's needed. I did not care for Mr Clinton but he did right this time. from Pensacola,Florida by Jon
Comment: Why in the world wouldn't we send our top people to rescue Americans who are being held captive? Who cares what they may think? from Pensacola, FL by Sarah
Comment: Way to go, Bill! He acted as a private citizen and accomplished what the goal of securing the jounalists release. As for the naysayers, you'll notice the criticism is directed along party lines. I say great job, President Clinton. from Orange Beach, Al. by John
Comment: Bill Clinton helped get the two women home. And we did not commit to being easier on North Korea. from Fort Walton Beach, FL by Bill
Comment: well, he brought back the american journalists (american citizens)alive and well from north korea...he did a fantastic job! as for people who are like john McCain...what is wrong with talks or diplomacy? or is this the holdover from the cold war mentality? speak from a position of strength...that is like so...80's... from p'cola fl by h
Comment: They would have been freed in time. We have people to handle international issues. All he did was glorify himself and give Kim the attention he wanted. from Pensacola, FL by D
Comment: Although I truly am sympathetic of the "hostage taking", I think that the "private" response by a former head of state was truly one that was not thaught threw fully. Consider what would have happened had President Clinton got over there to find his passport/visa revoked by the North Koreans? Did he consider it? As to the two women captives, I hold the media that they worked for responsible. ANY FOOL SHOULD KNOW ENOUGH TO STAY OUT OF A POTENTIAL 'HOTBED' SUCH AS NORTH KOREA. I'm sure that the ladies will now take a second glance at their choice of assignments. They've got to ask themselves: is their life worth "getting an exclusive"? from Mary Esther, FL. by Tom
Comment: Screw the politics. If Obama can run around apologizing to our terrorist enemies, we can give the N.Korean Dictator a visit by someone like Clinton to get two americans back from illegitimate captivity. We can always nuke them later! from Pensacola by Jon
Comment: Got the ladies home to their families and this trip may possibly, just possibly help start a dialogue with Ill. Talking things out is a lot better than resentment and possibly armed conflict. We've had enough war lately. from Pensacola, Fl by Charles
Comment: Stop asking John Bolton what he thinks! Who cares! from Gulf Breeze, FL by Lori
Comment: Absolutely not. We have or did have a policy that our country does not negociate with terrorists. The two reporters did enter North Korea illegally. If you do the crime then do the time. Just another publicity stunt for Mr. Clinton from Shalimar, Fl by Karen
Comment: His wife is just gonna use this to try to win votes in the next Presidental election. He needs to keep his nose out of Americas business. He wasn't a good president and seems like he is trying to be an even worse exPresident. from McDavid, FL by Julie
Comment: Job well Done ! from pensacola, fl by bridgette
Comment: I imagine John McCain would feel differently if it were his daughter the president rescued - as would all the other naysayers! from pensacola, fl by janice
Comment: I think they should have kept Clinton... As for as the the other two, who do they think they are. Both knew where the boundry line was.. do the crime then do the time. Different countrys have different sentences for different crimes. Is it ok to free those two, but yet dedain people for no reason, (I am talking Cuba) by Bob
Comment: I believe the best person to answer this question would be either one of those two women. They are back home reunited with their families and children due to Bill Clinton. Would it have been more American to leave them there, and set politial agenda above human life? from Pensacola, Florida by whitney
Comment: President Clinton was asked to go on the trip and he accepted to help fee the two women. from Navarre,Fl. by C J
Comment: I was never a big fan of president Clinton. But I do belive he is a good man with good intentions and this was a good deed he done. from pensacola by eric
Comment: I am certain that the trip was arranged and orchestrated by the State Department with the high priority of freeing the two captives. What bugs me is that people are so stupid as to put themselves needlessly in harm's way. This is like the mountain climbers going up in mid-winter and then having the state or some other government body spending human and financial resources to assist them. Those who sent the two women into North Korea should be held accountable. The same can be said for those who just 'wandered' into Iran. These people are fools at best - having no concern about what they do to the U.S. from Pensaola / FL by Rick
Comment: He was taking security that should not have been his choice and probably cost the U.S. money. from pensacola,fl by sharon
Comment: I think it was a great idea to help free the ladies , no one would want to be detained in a country as North Korea from Bainbridge,ga by Harvey
Comment: Clinton went over and sucked up to them, other US haters will do the same. I expect the Iranians will demand the same now for the three Americans they have as hostages, and that is exactly what they are, hostages. from Pensacola, Florida by David
Comment: It took Clinton to get the job done! The women are home safe with their families. from Pensacola Florida by Marsha
Comment: yeah it was a good trip...i don't think GW Bush or Cheney would have been welcomed nor secure anything internationally...the don't think that americans overseas or of non- conservative,non-christian, non-whites as very important... from p'cola fl by h
Comment: Well, we didn't have to kiss any ass and the girls are home, aren't they??? from P-cola, FL by Beaux
