Video of Oil Leak: Should BP provide live video of its attempts to stop the oil leak?
| 70% | Yes | |
| 30% | No |
Comment: Absolutely! Not to do so is just an admission that they are attempting to cover up the true extent of what has happened. from Pensacola, FL by Steve
Comment: Why would they want to turn it off for an attempt to stop the flow?/ They are trying to hide something else from Pensacola, Fl by David
Comment: If they cut the feed what are they trying to hide? Better yet what have they hidded from us so far? from Pensacola by Craig
Comment: BP should be required to keep a live feed on anything that goes on with this leak. Not just this feeble attempt at stopping the leak. What are they trying to hide? from Pace, FL by Steven
Comment: Do not trust BP and big oil interests for one single minute. I can sum up the lack of disclosure and the misinformation and secrecy that gulf coast residents might suspect by now from BP: simply watch the 90 minute documentary titled Black Wave, you can find it on the internet. It covers in detail the devastation caused in Prince William Sound in 1989 when the Exxon Valdez ran aground and spilled millions of gallons of oil...the environmental, social and economic consequences. This movie was made in 2008 and it's as if it were made just last week in light of the gulf of Mexico disaster. Never ever trust the big oil companies involved...watch this documentary and you will understand why. from Orange Beach, Al. by John
Comment: I think they should show it live, or do they have something more to hide from the public?? from Pensacola, Florida by Scott
Comment: H*** ON! from pensacola/fl by garry
Comment: Why shut off the live feed? from Pace, FL by Marsha
Comment: BP has kept us wanting more and more info, why is this so much of a problem to block the leak? I said send the cement 2 weeks ago. What the heck are they doing....send the military and blow it up if they can....or our government needs to take over!!!!! from pensacola, fl by sandi
Comment: i think they should do tha video to let us know what is going on with everything and show us how they r gonna fix tha problem.. from milton florida by rebecca
Comment: What are they trying to hide??????? Stop worrying about the cameras BP and GET THE JOB DONE!!!!!!!!!!! from Fl by Kathy
Comment: I think that if at all possible a live video should be shot to let us all know what's going on..for sure. And I do hope that if they do a live video that its not a 'precreated' farce, but the real thing. No, I do not trust BP people at all. They have poluted our Gulf and who knows how many years it will be before its life comes back. Even before the 'black' stuff started boiling out of their hole it was bad enough, but the Gulf had a chance to recover. Who knows now when, if ever it will be back to 'normal' from pensacola by georgia
Comment: I hate that this disaster has happened. I am upset and bothered by BP and all others involved. Bottom line is we have built this society around oil. The best thing we can do is to look into other forms of energy. It seems that everyone wants to stop drilling in there back yard, but by all means drive solo to all the protests and use extra petrolium products avoiding the BP stations. We are our own enemies a majority of the time. from pensacola, florida by Sam
Comment: No, I would like to see video of our Obama government attempting to do nothing, and making good progress I might add. If on another note BP never had a feed it wouldnt be an issue to start with. Plain old journalisum / mediasensationalisum. from Pensacola,FL by Flower
Comment: I don't want to see no oil leek. They will probly run it durring Maury show. Obama will fix that leek, ya'll chill. from Pensacola by Lucreesha
Comment: I think that we should be able to see/know what is going on in the Gulf instead of just what we hear n the news. from Pensacola by Tracy
Comment: Why should they. It would just fuel more and more criticism. Let them do their job and hope they know what they are doing. If you can not help, watch. from Pensacola, Fl. by Frank
Comment: Absolutely ! Since we can't straight answers from officials, we at least can see and decide for our selves. from pensacola, fl by d
Comment: I don't care if BP provides a live video feed of something that may or may not tell a lay person anything. What I care about is stopping the leak and protecting the coast. I do not understand why a coastal fleet of government and private vessels is not able to stop the oil from coming ashore in the Louisiana wetlands. from Pensacola / FL by Rick
Comment: I think all of America should be able to see any attempts by BP to correct the problem that they have created. We deserve to know everything that is going on in this crisis. from Pensacola FL by Karen
Comment: Yes--unless it will interfere with gettting the job done! from Navarre by John
Comment: They do i have watch the leak for days the live link is http://www.bp.com/liveassets/bp_internet/globalbp/globalbp_uk_english/homepage/STAGING/local_assets/bp_homepage/html/rov_stream.html pass it on worth seeing from pensacola fl by lenny
Comment: Obviously, BP has not had enough accountability. Perhaps if the public were watching the live feed of attempts to stop the oil leak, the company would be more likely to get it right! from Pensacola, FL by Elaina
