PENSACOLA - A building in the heart of historic downtown Pensacola is getting a makeover.

The two story brick building on East Government Street is undergoing a massive renovation.

It's owned by the same people who run Seville Quarter, across the street.

The owners believe it was built in the 1880's and once housed Pfeiffer's Pharmacy.

The city put some pressure on them to bring the building up to code, so the owners are renovating it with the goal of having someone run a restaurant downstairs, with office space and a conference room on the second floor.

Jack Williams/Seville Quarter: "We think that a good restaurant, thriving with a lot of people, will only enhance what we have here across the street at Seville Quarter and we can help support them, so it's a win-win situation."

Renovations, which also include a second story balcony, are scheduled to be finished by the first of the year.

Management is open to discussions from a prospective restauranteur who might be interested in a running a business here.
