NATIONWIDE - As the national economy slows...Some business leaders are trying to give our local economy a boost.

The Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a summit called 'I-10 Wired today.'

Around 90 people gathered at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze.

The summit's goal is to bring more entrepreneurs to the stretch of I-10 between Mobile and and Fort Walton Beach.

Charles Wood, I-Ten Wired Summit: "It's really about innovation based companies and technology entrepreneurs and helping the ones we have here and to be successful and to grow and also to attract new entrepreneurs into the area."

The summit teaches businesses how to fund their companies and recruit talented workers.

The cities of Mobile and Fort Walton Beach also hosted 'I-10 Wired Summits' earlier this year. I-10 Wired Summit
