BALDWIN COUNTY - The Baldwin County Sheriff's Boys Ranch has a new tool in helping displaced youth succeed.

Today, ranch leaders opened Alabama's first college transition home.

The ranch houses about twelve middle and high school aged boys.

The new home will allow the ranchers to stay at the ranch after high school into the college years.

Ranch leaders say the support the ranch provides will give the young men a better chance to succeed in life.

"They'll work for us part time at this location they'll also act as mentors for the younger boys at this location so we'll continue the structure."

The home will house up to ten young men. Donations paid for the home.Baldwin County Sheriff's Boys Ranch Program
