OKALOOSA COUNTY - A local World War Two hero passed away this morning.

'Ed Horton' of Fort Walton Beach, was one of the "Doolittle Raiders".

The raiders bombing mission over Tokyo is credited with changing the course of the war in the Pacific.

The ninety-two year old was seriously injured in a car accident two weeks ago.

At a reunion of the 'Doolittle Raiders' in May, Horton told Channel Three News, his bond with his fellow airmen, was the memory he cherished most.

Horton's son says the family received a call from President Bush today.
