FLORIDA - Gas prices are a far cry from what they were just months ago.

Earlier this year... The price per gallon soared to nearly four dollars.

And that put a big pinch on people's wallets.

Even now there's a wide range of prices you'll pay... Depending on where you are.

Today, drivers reported finding the lowest price in Gulf Breeze.

But when you cross the bridge into Pensacola... You can expect to pay more.

The lowest price being reported at the Raceway On Davis Highway And Copter Road.

And in Foley... Gas prices are 20-cents higher than Gulf Breeze.

Drivers report a dollar 75 as the cheapest prices per gallon.

Falling gas prices means gas is cheaper... But it doesn't mean more people are filling their tanks.

Shaun Shah owns the "stop n go" in pensacola.

And like most "Mom & Pop" stations, he makes his money on what people buy off the shelves, not at the pump.

As gas prices dropped, he hoped to see a boost in business, but so far it's still down more than 20-percent.

Other stations are reporting the same.

Shawn Shah/Store Owner: "That's where we got hit is because people got laid off and people who don't have jobs or are scared they're going to lose their homes and stuff, people just don't spend money."

Shah is still breaking even.

He has lowered his prices on many items and even bargain shops for the groceries he sells, so he can pass the savings on to his customers.

He hopes the economy will be better this time next year.Gas Profits
