ESCAMBIA - We have new details on a bicycle accident in Escambia County, yesterday.

State Troopers say, 51 year-old Homer Carey was riding a bicycle heading East in the Westbound lane of Gulf Beach Highway near Augusta Avenue around four p-m.

Troopers say, Carey switched lanes without looking for oncoming vehicles.

A vehicle hit Carey's bike and he was thrown onto the hood.

He is in serious condition.
