SANTA ROSA - Santa Rosa County will be extinguishing a light on their tree in its "Keep the Holidays Bright Campaign"......after a fire, yesterday.

It happened at a house on 28th Avenue in Avalon Beach around 6PM.

Channel Three's James Jackson is live at the house....with more on what happened...

Firefighters say the fire started in the fire place and chimney and quickly spread.

A resident saw smoke coming from the heating vent.

Two adults three kids and pets got out unharmed and the Red Cross came to help the family.
The home was heavily damaged and the inside was gutted.
