BROWNSVILLE - A bulb will now be red in Escambia County after an early morning fire at a duplex on Mobile Highway in Brownsville.

Each time a fire crew responds to a fire a bulb on wreaths placed around the county will turn from red to green.

Five departments responded to the blaze which began around four o'clock.

Once on scene it only took the crews eight minutes to bring the fire under control.

Fire officials at the scene say there were two people inside at the time of the fire, but both made it out safely.

The Fire Marshall's Office confirms that the fire was started by sparks from a space heater.Duplex Fire Lights First Red Bulb on Escambia County Wreath
