PENSACOLA - Two more Publix supermarkets have opened today.

The Publix at Nine Mile and Pine Forest in Pensacola and the Publix at Eglin Parkway and Racetrack Road in Fort Walton Beach opened this morning at 8am.

Friendliness, customer service, and a warm welcome are the motto of the grocery store as the first customers began to arrive.

Publix bought four locations in Pensacola as well as Eglin and Fort Walton Beach.

Dwaine Stevens the PIO of Publix says, "This is our second location here in pensacola."

"...We appreciate the 450 years of rich history hear in this community and we have a rich history at Publix being over 70 years of age so were hear this morning welcoming new customers as our neighbors."

The Mobile Highway Publix is scheduled to open in the spring of '09 while the Ninth Avenue store will open in the fall.Publix Opens on Nine Mile Road and Pine Forest
