FLORIDA - Florida Democratic Party Chair, Karen Thurman, is calling for Speaker Ray Sansom to step down as speaker of the Florida house, or his part time job with Northwest Florida State College.

According to Thurman, Sansom delivered more than 25 million in additional funds to the college in the midst of massive cuts to education and tuition hikes across the state.

Less than a year later the college offered Sansom a part time job, paying him 110 thousand dollars a year.

Thurman says the appearance of impropriety it too great for Sansom to remain in one or both jobs and he should lead by example and step down.Florida Democratic Party Chair Calls For Speaker Sansom to Step Down
