SEUSSICAL: THE MUSICAL

Seussical: The MusicalBeat the Staycation blues with a musical journey to Whoville as Dr. Seuss’s fanciful characters leap to life in PLT’s Treehouse Theatre production “Seussical: The Musical”. Based on the stories of beloved author Dr. Seuss, this magical musical extravaganza lovingly brings to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville! The classic, colorful tales are seamlessly brought together by Jojo, a young boy and “thinker of strange and wonderful thinks!” The score is a Seussian gumbo of musical styles, ranging from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, R&B to funk. Directed by veteran director Roy Bracken and co-director Kathy Holsworth, Seussical is a colorful musical about believing in yourself and is sure to be enjoyed by theatre-goers of all ages.
