Kyle Busch wins Snowball Derby
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) —
NASCAR star Kyle Busch made the 50th Snowball Derby one to remember with a late charge to win the iconic short track race for the second time.
Busch qualified a disappointing 15th but passed Jeff Choquette for the lead with 18 laps left, and stayed in front from there.
Choquette finished 2nd, Bubba Pollard, who lead for much of the race ended up 3rd.
It's the second Snowball win for Busch in four tries. He also won in 2009, two years after his first try ended in disqualification for failing inspection.
Busch, a former NASCAR's Cup Champ, ended up 2nd in the Cup Playoffs this season.
