We can call the late season slide, just a blip.

Florida finding their game again at the NCAA Tournament.

The Gators book a date in the top 16 against Wisconsin on Fridya.

Florida avoids having to seed east top seed Villanova and opens as a slight favorite over the eight seeded Badgers.

The Gators dominated Virginia Saturday in Orlando 65 - 39.

Tremendous on the defensive end and held the Cavs to just 29 percent shooting.

Devin Robinson and Juston Leon both delivered double doubles.

They win again without much offense from their top two scorers, Allen and Barry.

A very promising sign or a team that is suddenly two wins from the top four.

It's been a history making season for UWF women's basketball, and one of the biggest reasons is senior point guard Alex Coyne . Her arrival two years ago has been huge for the program and for her.

Coyne just exudes toughness on the court. A prime example came in the Regional Final win. She went out with what looked like a serious knee injury in the 4th quarter, only to come back in and score seven of the final 11 points.

The Pittsburgh native started her college career at Division One Southern Miss, but despite being a starter, she wasn't happy there, and decided to leave after her sophomore season. A visit to UWF convinced her she did want to keep playing and this was the place. The coaches remembered her from an exhibition game the year before and were sold on her as well.

Coyne has delivered exactly as advertised, on the court and off it. Coyne is a nightmare for opposing defenses, she can score it., averaging ten and a half points, but she's most lethal as a passer. Just under seven assists a game, ranks 2nd in the nation.
