Pensacola Catholic's head coach heading back to his roots
Greg Seibert is pretty ingrained at Catholic High School, it's his alma mater.
He's been on the football staff since 2001 and head coach for the last 12 years, but one place has a stronger pull.
Seibert is leaving Catholic for his hometown of Elberta, Alabama.
They are opening a new high school and Seibert will be the head football coach and athletic director.
Seibert said it was a difficult decision, but ultimately the chance to build a program from scratch and return to his roots was too much to pass up.
He built a consistent winner at Catholic and made the playoffs in 11 of his 12 seasons as head coach.
Seibert reached the semifinals in 2009 and regional finals in 2012 and 2013.
For Seibert it's been about the relationships, not the wins.
